Focus: To continue growing on our digital transformation strategy by evolving and aligning cross-functioning channels inside and outside our mobile banking platform.

My area of focus was defining cross-platform digital alignment and strategies: building end-to-end customer journeys across platforms: onboarding, products & services, in-app, help, search and support.

I supported designers in product optimization and continued growth of new features such as payment modernization, installment lending and account management. In addition, I helped formalize design processes driving team growth and success, internally and externally to bridge gaps between product, design, development, data and customer success, with a Product Development team of over 100+.

Product Design Lead

As a design lead, I led 3 core projects: Scotiabank Mobile Banking App, Help & Search multi-channel strategy, Autos (Hyundai For Hire) Product Development

My area of focused was to re-platform and support defining the customer migration strategy and shipping of our iOS and Android app to 4+ million Scotia-bankers, driving iOS app ratings from 2.3 to 4.7 stars in 3 months.

Pushing design Accessibility and it’s boundaries was a foundational aspect of driving decisions for our product — ensuring we’re building for our widest audience. As part of the refreshed product design, alongside design research, we built a new and integrated Interaction Strategy for Mobile Banking across the internal app, sales and marketing channels as a way to support our go-to-market strategy across across various platforms.

Design Lead

2012 – 2016

I led mid-high level complexity design projects with Fortune 500 brands as an independent designer to execute on a diverse range of design areas, in both print and digital. Day-to-day consisted of sense-making project strategy into design strategy and delivery through partnerships with strategists, ethnographers and technologists.

Beyond execution, I provided mentorship to other designers at a project level and supported shaping the internal design process and managed development of the design team.

From 2008 onward, I’ve worked at Idea Couture, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Peel District School Board as a Graphic Designer supporting mid to large scale projects across: branding, editorial, print communications, information design, packaging design and adverting.
